Small (as far as museums go) but with an impressive collection. The Imperial Screen Cabinet is a seriously impressive piece and so is the pagoda. Then their shop at the end has all sorts of things to scratch your itch for cool minerals. Glad I visited!

I love this museum. I run activities for seniors and drive the bus for outings. The layout is great. So easy to get in and out of for loading and unloading. It's all one floor so it's great for people with mobility issues. There are so many interesting things to see and even a few things that can be touched for even more sensory experiences. I bring my residents on the Free Wednesdays but any day would be great!

News

Make your very own mosaic artwork! Each participant will create their own 4x4 tile using materials such as glass, stone, and millefiori. The instructor will discuss tools, techniques, and tips for the process of creating mosaics. All supplies are included in the workshop. The Chicago Mosaic School is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of mosaic education.
