Highly recommended. I used a museum pass from my local library for 1/2 off, but the museum is not expensive to begin with ($10 for adults and $5 for kids). There's plenty to see that will dazzle the close observer and entertain the casual browser, including intricately carved pieces, creative sculpture, and educational signage, not to mention a touchscreen game my kids really enjoyed near the end of the exhibit. There are multiple sections, but it's not overwhelming to see everything, and even read all the signage if you like, in a couple of hours. The gift shop is also fun, with items at all price points, with patient staff that answer questions from kids and adults alike.

News

Make your very own mosaic artwork! Each participant will create their own 4x4 tile using materials such as glass, stone, and millefiori. The instructor will discuss tools, techniques, and tips for the process of creating mosaics. All supplies are included in the workshop. The Chicago Mosaic School is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of mosaic education.
